Make up an observation review based on the following. I will have attended a daycare called Miss Jordyn’s in Caribou Maine

Based on your observations in the field and the materials covered in class:

Briefly describe the setting – number of children and adults, time of day, activities, …

Observe 1 child for at least 15 minutes.

-Pay particular attention to the child’s development in ALL 5 domains: cognitive, communicative, physical, social, and emotional.

-Give at least one example for the child’s development in each domain, use objective descriptors (what you see/hear, not feelings/reasons)

-Compare the child to the group in each domain with specific examples.

-Does the child appear to be on target, delayed, or advanced, based on both your observation and the comparison, for each domain and explain/support your answers. *

Reflect on your field experience. Tell me what you found interesting. You may address any miscellaneous findings you like such as: What was the general atmosphere of the room? What did you see that stood out to you regarding the positive support of development of the children and strategies used, and, if any, negative findings?
