The LEARN approach is explained in Section 1. 4 as a way to think critically, which may lead you to think about it as an approach to science, studying, or other academic endeavors. However, critical thinking can be useful in many realms, including understanding social situations. Assess the value of the LEARN approach in your own social life. Think of a situation in which your social interaction with a person or group was confusing or unclear. Use the LEARN approach to re-evaluate the situation. Does this approach bring a new understanding to this situation? Why or why not?
