He works at Wal-Mart and does not have insurance. When we got the scene his house was fully engulfed with flames and he was outside on the grass. He reported to the cops that he was trailing with explosives. We hurriedly loaded him and transported him. The only thing we were able to perform was start IV and get VS. I didn’t calculate his fluids. He is clearly tachycardiac and having a lot of pain. He told me it was 10 out of 10, I administered 4mg IVP of Morphine, and it help a little. I also put him on 2L of O2. The rapid assessment we did, it seems he has second and third degree burns on his arms and chest. He has soot in his nose and mouth.B. He has been in ER for 5 minutes. He has a history of fractured leg at 8 years old. He has no surgical or pertinent medical history.A. He has just arrived via EMS and he is responsive. We have started an IV. His heart rate is in the 140s, BP 144/92, RR 24, Temp 98.9 O2 saturation 92% O 2LR. Hal has a saline lock. We have received the order set from the MD on the way in. He was located 1 block away, so we started a saline lock but will need the rest of his orders completed.
