1. If you were a police chief and an officer in your department routinely violated the knock-and-announce requirement while executing search warrants, would you discipline that officer? If so, why? And how would you discipline to the officer? If not, explain why not.

2. Customs Agents at the national border may search a person or their property without a warrant. The same is true at an airport when someone wants to board a flight. Airports have been the subject of controversy with the installation of full body scans and the carrying out of the full body pat downs. How have fears of terrorism affected the way people view these practices? Does such safety measures trample on citizens’ right to privacy and Fourth Amendment protections?
