Welcome class! I am Marlene Veres and am a mother and a wife. I currently work at a four-year-old preschool program and have three classes left to attain my Bachelor in Child Development. I am hoping to start a position soon working directly with Autistic children and teaching them skills to be able to feel comfortable with themselves in the world we live in today. I am planning on continuing my education and getting my Masters in Social Work possibly, so I can become a BCBA and work with the special needs children and families.

The cartoon in the introduction is a true testament to children and their ability to only see what their minds have been taught. In working with the children, they need to be prepared to look beyond what they know and understand the depths of our society.
