Defineeffective vocabulary instruction. Include any strategies that you found in the text or in your web search.

Choose a children’s book. Create a plan to infuse vocabulary instruction through the reading of the book.

Describehow you would choose vocabulary words to introduce from the book and explain what strategy you would use to teach the vocabulary. Choose three words and create slides to provide this vocabulary instruction as you would in a classroom.

Describe the progression of your vocabulary instruction from that point. How would you reinforce and extend the students’ knowledge of the words through reading, writing, listening, and speaking activities? List one activity for each of the above listed areas.
