I attended a 2-day seminar on this back when I was working full-time at Motorola in Austin, TX in their semi-conductor business. It was geared toward individuals who were hopefully going to move up to the level beyond first line supervisor at Motorola. Once you hit that level, the ability to delegate becomes critical. Delegation is a key component of leadership if done properly. “Leaders Develop People, Period.” If we truly believe that statement, then almost every opportunity to delegate develops that individual.
