Their responsibilities include establishing policies, making strategic decisions, and overseeing organizational activity; the board directors must use good governance and adhere to the organizations code of ethics during the decision-making process for implementing strategies and allocating resources (Eisenstein, 2020). Before any action planning decisions are made, the board should distinguish between organizational wants and needs by placing them in order by priority according to the specific long-term objectives of the organization, and an opportunity cost analysis for each alternative or choice should be considered.
