Part 2: Research Poster

Assignment

Create an effective research poster that communicates the essential ideas behind your research project. Upload your poster to the appropriate Assignment area on Canvas by the due date and time.

Review the following resources concerning research posters.

Research posters are an increasingly-prominent method for sharing your projects with other engineering professionals at conferences, conventions, and meetings. Generally your poster will be displayed in a large hall with a number of posters from other technical professionals, all vying for the viewer’s attention. Your goal is to create an accurate, concise, and visually appealing poster that will attract interest and perhaps even win an award.

Generally posters are created using PowerPoint or some other slide presentation application, and then printed on heavy paper for physical display. For this assignment in our class, you need only create the poster slide and submit it to this Assignment area.

Be sure to upload only your research poster to the Assignment area. Other parts of our final research project have other Assignment areas for upload.

Remember, your upload should consist of one file including:

1. Your abstract

2. Your research paper

3. Your bibliography

Don’t forget: illustrations and graphics are an important part of a research paper, and our assignment requires at least one original (created by you) graphic.

Remember: Your completed project should be posted in PDF, Word, or RTF format. Do not post in Apple Pages format, as Canvas cannot display that file type.
