“Conformity
and Groupthink” Respond
to one (1) of the following discussion topics:

• Explain the power of social influence
  based on the findings of Milgram’s experiment. Provide one (1) example of
  a situation you have been in where you felt you had to conform to someone
  or something. Indicate whether you felt you had to conform because of informational
  or normative influence, and explain the main reasons for your
  indication.

• According to the textbook, a leader can
  have a major influence on whether or not groupthink will occur. Describe
  two (2) ways in which a leader could affect groupthink. Additionally, give
  one (1) example of a leader in history that has promoted groupthink.
  Describe at least one (1) way groupthink could have been avoided in your
  example.
