“What we need is a little scientific management”

Welcome to our consulting firm. To start, I would like you to address some team issues. Your reading of Chapter 1, 2, and 15 should provide you with the information you need to draft a memo directed to your team members by answering the following questions.

This situation: You are a manager with 8 direct team reports. Your manger just returned from a conference (see video).

You have these problems described by your boss.

Head each section of your paper to correspond to the numbers of each question (1, 2, 3) below:

1. What type of employees will Scientific management work best for?

3. What are you going to do to fix it?

The student will demonstrate an understanding of management and leadership methodologies as a systematic approach to achieving business objectives. The student should examine the traditional and contemporary styles of leadership and management that best support a successful role as manager.
