nterview someone from within a profession of interest about the role technology plays in their career field, as well as about the impact of technology on their career/job/company/industry. This person should preferably be someone who has worked long enough to gain perspective on the trends and changes in their career field. The student is responsible for locating, contacting, and interviewing their subject.

Your prep work before the interview should consist of research on:

• Industry
• Career Field
• Company (if applicable)
• Job
• Any technology related to the field
• Person (if applicable—access to educational/career info will vary depending on subject)

Students will choose at least 5 (preferably more) questions from the Interview Question List to ask their subject. Students should use at least one question from each section.

Students will then be required to write a paper presenting a cohesive account of the interview. The paper should do the following:

• Introduce the subject and the subject’s job/career field thoroughly
• Provide a detailed and organized account of the questions asked and the responses given
• Paper should be structured as a formal essay. This means an introduction, body, and conclusion.
• Paper SHOULD NOT read as a transcript of the interview.
• In the conclusion, students will include a reflection on the interview. This reflection should include thoughts on the interview process and what new information/skills they learned/gained from the interview.

This paper should be formatted in the following ways:

• Typed
• Double spaced
• Follow the same writing and citation rules as the Writing Rubric.
• Should be no shorter than three pages.
