An Essay about Skiing History. Straight Forward

This paper should be typed with 1” margins, 1.5 spacing, Times New Roman, 12 point font and in APA style. Please cite a minimum of 5 sources.

This paper is an overview of several topics related to skiing. Please write an introductory section, the following five sections and end with a conclusion section.

Section #1: Please discuss the evolution of the alpine (alpine refers to downhill) equipment including but not limited to skis, boots, poles, bindings, helmets and other gear.

Section #2: Please discuss the affect of the recent emergence of terrain parks on skiing (not snowboarding) pop culture.

Section #3: Find and analyze a video of your choice on skiing and include the link in your paper. Please discuss this video- what it is, why you chose it, who is in it, what are they doing in it, etc.

Sections #4: Please explain the following:

• telemark skiing
• slalom skiing vs. giant slalom
• freestyle skiing
• moguls

Section #5: Please discuss the evolution of alpine ski related events in the Olympics up to and including listing what ski related events are competed in at the Olympics today.
