 It
is said that Yangtze River, the greatest river of China, is the cradle of
Chinese civilization. Yangtze River is the third longest river in the world,
and the totally length of the river is around 3964 miles. Staring at
Qinghai-Tibet where is called “roof of the world”, going through the middle of
China, and falling into the East China Sea. The river contains the largest
water ecological environment in China, and is the home of thousands aquatic
animals. At the present, Yangtze River, faces huge problem of water pollution; meanwhile,
for those animals who lives in the river, water pollution become the biggest
threat of their life. Baiji, which is the unique species that can only be found
in Yangtze River, has been driven to extinction due to the heavy water
pollution of Yangtze River.
