Observe
an environment of young children (preschool to age 8) for one hour.
During your observation, what are some ways the adult supported the
children’s creative thought and problem-solving ability (list at least
two or three ways)?  Was the adult-child interaction style autocratic,
permissive, or democratic?

Which
adult-child interaction style are you: autocratic, permissive, or
democratic? Are there changes you should make to your style so you can
encourage the best in children?

Note: Your observation can be with young children you work with, neighbor’s children, a friend’s children, or your own children.
