Interface Design. Select two of Dr. Shneiderman’s rules rules and
either (1 AND 2) OR (3 AND 4).

1. Find examples of two interfaces that demonstrate correctly
following the rules. You should provide screenshots of the
interfaces.

2. Find examples of two interfaces that demonstrate breaking the
rules. Discuss how these inter faces could be improved. You
should provide screenshots of the interfaces.

OR

3. Provide an argument as to why one of the rules does not
apply/is not accurate or no longer applies. Be sure to explain in
detail and provide screenshots of interfaces that support your
perspective. Note that just because an interface exists (even
from a well known, successful company!) does not mean that it is
a “good” interface.

4. Provide an argument as to how a rule applies in a unique or
particular context, such as mobile application development or
healthcare applications. Does the rule become more important in
your view? Less important? Be sure to illustrate with screen
shots.
