The History of Comic Books (1980s)

Directions: For this discussion board, your goal is to research a particular decade during which comic books were produced, capturing some of the highlights of the decade.

In a face-to-face setting, I designate decades by row. Online, we will try something different. The decade you are expected to cover will be determined by the first letter of your last name:

a-d: 1930s

e-h: 1940s

i-m: 1950s

n-q: 1960s

r-t: 1970s

u-z: 1980s

I will fill in the gaps where necessary after the assignment is due. The result will be a fairly robust bird’s eye view of comic books over the years that you’ll have access to throughout the semester.
