Human resources must deal with compliance for individual and group behaviors, ensuring that applicable laws and policies are followed. They must be able to educate employees about specific laws, and create policies and procedures for employees; they must also be able to make certain that employees follow these policies and procedures(Davis & Carnovall, 2019). Failure to enforce the organizations policies may result in injuries to employees or patients or significant fines due to violations. HR can offer proper education and training for regulatory and legal requirements; compliance training can be done through regular online education or courses. New employees may be given an employee handbook that clearly articulates the organization’s policies and procedures. All training and education should be routinely updated to comply with any changing laws or regulations and should include the latest information available.
