The applied paper is to be based on a real organizational topic – a topic you have encountered, are encountering, or are familiar with – that can be addressed by organizational behavior. If you can carry out some or all of your project in an actual organization that would be a plus.

The paper should describe the organizational topic (e.g. low job satisfaction), your organizational behavioral approach(es) proposed recommendations to correct the problem & why and how you might assess the effectiveness of your approach(es). Your paper should be grounded in the literature and research, and as such, needs to be properly referenced. A reference list in APA reference style needs to be included with your paper; it should show the relevant literature and research that supports the specifics in your paper.

The resulting project will have two parts: 1) Summary. A ½-1 page summary of key points from your paper (this is to be an executive summary). 2) Paper. APA style, a full 5-8 page (Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced, excluding references) paper. References should not be older than 5 years. No direct quotes. Do not use contractions in your writing or abbreviations without indicating what the abbreviation means first. This paper should be written in a way that would be appropriate to give to an executive within the organization
