A short story

For the fiction portion of this course, you will write one short story according to the guidelines listed below. If at all possible, work ahead on this assignment so that it receives the time it needs to properly develop it. Stories composed the night before the assignment is due typically suffer from thin character development, weak plots, and unsatisfying resolutions. Planning the story carefully and then writing a couple of pages a day will certainly help make your fiction as strong as it can possibly be.

Story Assignment:

May be from first or third person point of view.
Must be at least 2500 words.
Must contain at least 3 fully-developed scenes.
Must contain dialogue.
