Poverty in the US

Take some time to visit the Stanford Center on Poverty and Inequality: http://inequality.stanford.edu/. Draw on the website’s “Research” section and describe two significant aspects of poverty in the U.S. Next, try to explain what you found by using one or more of the theoretical perspectives discussed in Chapter 1. Remember, the “big three” perspectives are functionalist, conflict, and symbolic interactionist.

Your paper should be 2-3 pages long and formatted per CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA Requirements. Support your claims by citing at least 2-3 scholarly sources, which may include information from the readings in your module. The CSU-Global Library is also a good place to find these sources; utilize the resources found in the SOC101 Research Guide for assistance in your research. Refer to the rubric in the Module 2 folder to review requirements for this paper.
