As we continue this week’s discussion regarding ethics in research, I have included a brief video for you to review to supplement your readings. Several years ago, 60 Minutes aired a segment titled, “Deception at Duke,” where they discussed then recently discovered research violations regarding an area of cancer research at Duke University. I have shared this video with my students over the past five years, and it always generates interesting discussions. Please let me know your thoughts about the short clip, and how it may add to the readings and class discussions for the week.
