FEATURE STORY DEADLINE 1: SUBMIT IDEAS & SOURCES

The Feature Story assignment is a series of three deadlines. .

For this deadline, please select three different story ideas that interest you and are related to Grossmont College (or your current school) and its students. Note: This is left intentionally open so that you can choose from a wide variety of topics, but be sure to choose an issue that will allow you to talk to local sources.

Each story idea needs to be a paragraph that describes the gist of the story and why your school’s students need to know about it. Please select a topic that is interesting to you because that will make the assignment more fun to report and write. Rank the ideas in order from favorite to least favorite.
For each story idea, include a list of five sources you would plan to talk to in your reporting, why they would be pertinent to the story and how you plan to contact them. Remember, your final story must have THREE TO FIVE sources with different perspectives, including students, teachers, administrators, etc.
