There will be one (1) website critique report due during the semester. The length of the report should be between 1-2 pages. Basically, I would like you to find a national government-related website and review it critically, kind of like you would do with a book review. By “national government”, I mean any site that originates from the federal government or interacts with the federal government. For example, sites dealing with interest groups, political parties, think-tanks, political organizations, etc.would be fine as long as they are not directed at the “state-level”.

As part of your report, let me know if the site has good information, if you found it useful, if you would recommend it, etc. This assignment will exercise your “surfing” skills and ask you to research and evaluate information available on a national government-related website. This report will be worth up to 50 points. Check out the “website critique report materials” folder below for links to website evaluation criteria that you should use as you critique your website, as well as a link to a sample report for you to review.

The grade that you receive on this report will be based upon how well you follow the criteria and how complete you make your reports. Do keep in mind that not all of the criteria listed will necessarily be applicable to your website. However, do try to follow as much of the criteria as possible.

7.Write and assess a change request for eGrants project

Imagine the eGrants project is underway and you are the Business Analyst. You have already completed all the work in the requirements activity (planning, enterprise analysis, elicitation, writing and validating). Now you are assigned to help with the ongoing work in the change management activity. It is your job to receive and assess change requests. For this assignment, write a change request that you imagine will come from a customer to add an unplanned requirement to the project. Then assess it using the template.

FINAL PAPER: Write a Requirements Specification Document for the eGrants project using the template provided. Write the requirements in either a simple sentence OR use case OR user story format.

In the simple sentence format, write at least 3 business requirements, and for each, write 3 “child” user requirements, and for each user requirement, write at least 3 “child” system requirements. Also write at least 1 non-functional requirement that applies to each system requirement; use at least 4 non-functional requirements.

OR, In the use case format, write at least 6 use cases.

OR, In the user story format, write at least 20 user stories, and link them to one of their appropriate 3 parent epics.

Regardless of which format you choose for your requirements, write one management report in the format used in the earlier report-writing assignment.

Now read “Lucy, You Have Some ‘Splainin’ to Do,” pp. 326-330 in The Writer’s Way.

For this discussion, think about the ways the student author, Nicole Benbow, connects something most of us are familiar with (The I Love Lucy television series) to larger issues concerning perceptions of women in the workplace. Think about how she tries to get us to see the TV series—and the larger issue—in a new way.

In your initial post, write a 75- to 150-word response in which you address the following questions:

• What is the central point/thesis? What evidence does the author give to support this thesis? Is her argument convincing?
• What is your reaction to this essay? Do you find Benbow’s argument convincing? Why or why not?
• A good argument needs counterarguments. Can you think of some reasonable opposing views to Benbow’s argument?
• Note the unorthodox structure the author employed in writing this essay. She begins with a riddle and solves it at the end. Is this an effective way to write an essay? What other rules does she “break”?
