Using your thesis statement and research, present the problem that needs to be addressed with your proposed solution. Note: Your solution, advantages, and challenges, will be in Parts 2 and 3.

Write a three to four (3-4) page paper in which you:

1. Provide an appropriate title and an interesting opening paragraph to appeal to your stated audience (appeal with logic, ethics, or emotion).

3. Describe the history and status of the issue and provide an overview of the problem(s) that need to be addressed. This should be one or two (1-2) paragraphs.
4. Explain the first problem (economic, social, political, environmental, complexity, inequity, ethical/moral, etc.) and provide support for your claims. This should be one or two (1-2) paragraphs.
5. Explain the second problem (economic, social, political, environmental, complexity, inequity, ethical/moral, etc.). and provide support for your claims. This should be one or two (1-2) paragraphs.
6. Explain the third problem (economic, social, political, environmental, complexity, inequity, ethical/moral, etc.) and provide support for your claims. This should be one or two (1-2) paragraphs.
7. Provide a concluding paragraph that summarizes the stated problems and promises a solution.
8. Develop a coherently structured paper with an introduction, body, and conclusion.
9. Use effective transitional words, phrases, and sentences throughout the paper.
10. Support claims with at least three (3) quality, relevant references. Use credible, academic sources available through Strayer University’s Resource Center. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not qualify as academic resources.

Your assignment must follow these formatting guidelines:

• Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.

Your entries are for a blog about themes found in multicultural works of literature. The target audience is both aspiring writers and language arts teachers. Consider ways you may mimic professional blogs such as the use of hyperlinks, trackbacks, or visuals. You will submit each individual entry as a word document. Save your entries for the culminating project in Topic 8 when you create the actual blog.

Search the Internet and find two news or other articles that defend different positions on the issue you chose. Be sure to include the URL for each article as a reference, using the appropriate APA format in the citation.

With these thoughts in mind:

Post by Day 4 a brief description of the controversial topic in psychology you selected and the different position articles you chose. Between the two articles, identify a minimum of three common errors and/or fallacies. Evaluate the impact of the errors/fallacies you selected on the psychology profession and on public perception, behavior, and/or attitudes. Explain how you would re-think, re-write, or address the errors/fallacies you selected.

Introduction

In Oliver v. United States (1984), the U.S. Supreme Court held that Oliver did not have a reasonable expectation of privacy in his open fields even though he put up a gate and a no trespassing sign. Entry onto such fields was not covered by the 4th Amendment. There was precedent for open fields not having 4th Amendment protection because such fields were not specifically mentioned in the 4th Amendment (along with persons, houses, et cetera). Neither businesses nor open fields are mentioned in the 4th Amendment, but a place of business that is not open to the public is protected.

Instructions

The 4th Amendment protects reasonable expectations of privacy even though such expectations are not mentioned in the language of the Amendment. For this discussion, choose and examine a precedential case that addresses open fields (other than Oliver).

In your main post:

• Articulate whether, based on the case you selected, posting a no trespassing sign creates a reasonable expectation of privacy. Include your rationale for your decision.
• Explain how your case selection relates to whether open fields are protected from search and seizure.
• Differentiate between the constitutional requirements for protected searches and unprotected searches as they relate to the duties of a criminal justice professional.
