After watching the video, “Morale and Discipline” a great leader is a person who has the knowledge and life-experience to lead others. Tony Visconti, a music producer, believes that a team looks good if the team leader behaves and acts positively. A good leader praises the team for the job well-done as we as point out the behavior that requires improvement. In other way, do not criticize but to encourage a person. Paul Nyrup Rasmussen, prime minister of Denmark, stated “engage people at all levels, create an environment where people are committed, and give them co-ownership of the mission. Leaders need to create an environment where people understand their rights and duties rather than based on fear; it will involve in the commitment. Jan Carlzon (CEO), believe that true essence of a leader are: good ethics, positive behavior and someone who showed integrity good listener, humble person and point out direction to lead the team.

A leader in power can motivate others through their position which is to lead the group in positive way. Strong leaders are able to engage authentically with the people around them and is the first task of genuine leadership. When you are able to connect authentically with those you seek to lead, you become more approachable, more trusted and more influential (Warrell, 2013). Listening authentically break down the barriers that cause people to withhold trust, and it fosters collaboration (Warrell, 2013). A nurse leader usually advocates for their patients to provide the best possible care and for the safety of the clients. A great leader is someone who has all the qualities to be an active listener, engage people in the issues to find solution and to seek advice from others.
