this assignment, the student will identify and interview someone they
know who is in a management role. This allows the student to integrate
the experience of real world managers with their own insights into
planning and strategy. The assignment also reinforces the importance of
contingency planning.

Assignment Steps

Interview
someone you know who is in a management role. This can be at your
current place of employment or someone you know personally working in a
managerial role.

Prepare a 1,050-word discussion of the interview:

• Discuss what you discovered about contingency planning.
• Discuss how creativity and critical thinking relate to contingency planning.
• Explain how you might integrate creativity into your own planning process.
• Discuss what you learned about creativity and its relationship to the decision-making process.
• Identify the key steps that might require a contingency plan.

Format the assignment consistent with APA guidelines.

Again, the only required sections for this week are the Thesis and Main Points, but make sure you place these materials inside the Introduction, the Body of the Speech, AND the Conclusion. (Remember to click on “Enable Editing” when you’re ready to add your materials to the template.)

Doing this will set you up for the next activity, building the Body of the Speech.

of the challenges they have faced from disruptive innovation. What were these
disruptive business models? Critique how Microsoft has responded to potential

not, what factors might have caused their blindness to these disruptive
influences? Where has Microsoft been effective in addressing challenges from

Select an issue or problem that you wish to investigate critically. Formulate a question or thesis on the issue so that your research has a clear and cogent direction.

Use Paul and Elder’s (2012) intellectual standards to find a topic or problem that is clear, relevant, significant, and precise.

Now, write a paper that addresses the problem or issue via scholarly sources.
Your paper should include the following:

1. Title page: include your name, date, title of essay, and class
2. Introduction: provide a two-paragraph introduction that frames the issue or problem carefully
3. Engagement with issue or problem using scholarly sources and the intellectual standards proposed by Paul and Elder (2012): What is the issue? Why is it significant? Why is this issue relevant to you (and/or your community)? What have you learned about the depth and breadth of the issue or problem from scholarly sources? How do the scholarly sources aid you in fair-mindedness and logic?

Single Payer Healthcare

An in-depth look at the waste in the current healthcare system proves that the Single Payer Healthcare System will eliminate duplicate costs, loopholes, and other money wasting methods in use today. Many of the ways we are administering healthcare are detrimental to actual cost savings. While there are many arguments against Single Payer Healthcare, the fact is, Single Payer is the most affordable option available which will also cover the entire population in the United States.

Healthcare costs in this country continue to rise, making healthcare unsustainable in its current delivery mechanisms. Accessibility to healthcare and the cost of that care is of vital interest to everyone in the United States. The people in the United States currently pay much more for healthcare than people in every other country.

This paper will attempt to answer the critical questions of how we are currently spending for healthcare, and how single payer could greatly reduce that cost while simultaneously ensuring every person in the United States has health coverage. There is a vast amount of material that shows that single payer will reduce the costs and make healthcare more efficient. Current healthcare models have no chance of covering all people in the United States, and the rising costs threaten to bankrupt America if the healthcare system isn’t changed.
