Select a position at your current or previous place of employment, or
any position in a specific organization for which you have basic knowledge
(e.g., customer service representative, electrical engineer, legal aide,
etc.).Your selected company must be a
medium- or large-sized company, and the position should be one in which there
are a minimum of two job incumbents.

·Create a needs assessment report of
approximately 750 words that includes the following:

o A
description of the data collection methods and sources you used to identify any
performance, knowledge, skills, or ability gaps in your selected group of job
incumbents.

o A
summary of the findings from the needs assessment, including any insights
gained from performing organizational, task, and/or person analyses.

o A
description of the specific performance, knowledge, skills, or ability deficits
for which you will develop a training or learning intervention.

·Include a minimum of one scholarly source

This essay is the first in a series of three essays that will deal with a single issue or event in the world today. In this essay, you will be explaining the facts of your event or issue, not presenting the various perspectives or your own personal view on your issue. This is the place where you present a view of the data the upcoming perspectives are based on.

You may choose to approach this assignment in one of several ways, depending on your issue. You may choose to present a timeline of events leading up to present day. You may choose to present the basic concepts on which your issue rests. You may choose to combine these approaches. However you approach this assignment, you need to remember to retain an empirical stance while striving to present your data in a unique, interesting way.

Some tips to completing this assignment successfully:

• Try to find a unique angle or presentation for you issue in order to engage the reader.
• Focus on one aspect of your broad issue–you’re going for depth, not breadth of coverage
• Remember to stick to an empirical stance. You will have the chance to present the different sides of your issue, as well as your own position, at a later date.

This essay must be at least 600 words long, and set it Times New Roman font with 1-inch margins. Your text must be double-spaced and you must use MLA format. Also, remember to cite all information that you cull from outside sources.

You must have a hard copy of this essay during class for your scheduled workshop session. Late drafts will be assessed penalties and will not receive feedback.

The assignment is a case consisting of only 3 questions that talk about global business, and these are the three questions:

Q 1: Explain the factors that enable Tesco to create value and generate profit in its international operations? (refer to chapter 13 in answering this question). (2 marks)

Q2: Based on what you studied in chapter 15, classify the global expansion strategies used by Tesco in each country (Hungary, China, Thailand, etc.). (2 marks)

Q 3: Do you expect that the success of Tesco will continue if it enters in Middle East countries like Saudi Arabia? Justify your answer. (1 mark)

World View Chart Assignments
Due Weeks 2 through 10 and worth 35 points each week, with a total of 315 points.

A
world view is a fundamental or basic orientation of thinking – like a
mindset – which guides a culture and / or a person’s life. Like a point
of view, it can be built of concepts, ideas, values, emotions, and
ethics. Weltanschauung is the German word for this idea. Your
goal for this course is to understand the world views of these various
religions. In order to prepare you for your final assignment, you will
outline the world views of various religions in the chart below, adding
to it each week.

For
this assignment, students will complete the weekly area of the chart,
filling in the aspects of each religion as it is presented in the
readings and resources. This chart, when complete, will be the starting
point for the written assignment, due in Week 10.

For each weekly submission:

1. Review
   the weekly lectures and supplemental materials provided, then complete
   the chart by elaborating on each section related to the weekly content.
2. Identify key details and examples from the weekly resources to serve as a basis for the content being recorded in your chart.
3. Write clearly and coherently using correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and mechanics.
