Please answer both parts of the question:

Part 1

Prepare a one-page description of your plans to solve the problem for one of the following research studies. Use the following headings for the problem:

4. Hypothesis or Hypotheses to Be Proved or Disproved (if feasible)

Here are some ideas to get you started:

• a. Investigate a problem occurring on your campus (e.g., declining enrollment in some majors, increasing tuition, delayed financial aid payments, high cost of textbooks, or closed classes) or in a job or student organization position you hold.
• b. Superior Foods, Inc., is considering adding organic versions of its frozen vegetables in an effort to establish itself as a leader in this fast-growing market. To increase its available supply of organic produce, management recognizes the need to assist local growers in adopting organic farming methods. The first step in this process is to recruit experts in organic farming to design and implement training.
• c. Rainbow Pool and Spas initiated a website to provide answers to frequently asked questions and product-update information. Customer response has been outstanding, freeing up the company’s toll-free telephone lines for calls about more technical, nonrecurring problems—a primary goal of the service. As marketing manager, you are considering the possibility of starting a corporate blog and a microblogging site on Twitter to strengthen your relationship and communication with customers.
• d. As branch manager of a bank, you are faced with the task in a sagging economy of reassuring customers of the solvency of your institution. Your current strategies for casting a positive light on negative performance indicators don’t seem to be effective.

Part 2

Select the most effective graphic means of presenting the following data. Justify your decision.

• a. Data showing the growth in the number of companies offering employees paid time for volunteerism over a five-year period
• b. Data showing the number of downloads from iTunes by media type (music, books, and TV segments) for the past quarter
• c. Data showing percentage of organizational projects that are delayed, on time, or ahead of schedule
• d. Growth in credit card debt over the past four years by state
• e. Data showing the relationship of the functional areas of a company from the CEO to the vice presidents to the line supervisors
• f. Predicted unemployment rate in regions of the U.S. for the year 2015
• g. Instructions for conducting interrogations of employees suspected of committing fraud
• h. Figures comparing the percentage of warranty claims of a company’s three product lines for the past four quarters
• i. Data showing the number of people utilizing the portfolio option of a financial investment firm’s website. The data should depict the number of portfolios opened by investors in five age categories during each of the past four quarters.
• j. Graphic tracking the progress of a product development team working on a new refrigeration product for a 2013 launch

Purpose of Assignment

The purpose of this assignment is to creatively illustrate traditional and new media options. An understanding of the target audience and effective communication for each is a desired outcome. It provides the Learning Team the opportunity to creatively illustrate traditional and new media options. Assignment Steps

As a Learning Team choose a brand (different from the Week 3 Learning Team Assignment) and a related brand strategy.

Create a Microsoft^® PowerPoint^® presentation, Prezi, or Vimeo video, etc. which illustrates one traditional media option (print, TV, radio, billboard, etc.) and one new (social media) media option for your brand and brand strategy. Each presentation should be a minimum of 7-10 slides or, if Prezi or Vimeo video, an 8-minute minimum.

Note: Prezi presentations cannot be uploaded to the classroom. Please provide your instructor with the link to the presentation on the web. Prezi will provide you with a URL link to the presentation.

Discuss in a minimum 700 words the differences between the traditional media option and the new media option in terms of audience, reach, channel and content. A table of differences may be used to concisely illustrate the differences but you must include a discussion of insights/concerns/issues between the media options.

Note: Charts/graphs/tables in your Microsoft^® Word write-up do not count towards the word count.

Cite a minimum of three peer-reviewed references.

Format your assignment consistent with APA guidelines.

According to the CDC, over 29 million Americans (9.3% of the population) has diabetes and 86 million are living with prediabetes, making diabetes the seventh leading cause of death in the United States. For an NP, a significant percentage of your patients will be dealing with diabetes, and so it is critical that you be proficient at diagnosing and treating it, as well as educating your patients about it.

Create a flowchart using symbols (boxes, shapes, and arrows) that illustrates the following:

• Which of the terms comprise metabolic syndrome?
• Which of the terms comprise the ominous octet?
• Categorize which complications are associated with microvascular disease and document both a subjective and objective component you would do to assess for each complication identified.
• Categorize which complications are associated with macrovascular disease and document both a subjective and objective component you would do to assess for each complication identified.

Write a paper that responds to the questions: Assess the ethics of the war on drugs. Should drugs be legalized? Why / Why not? Provide justifications for views from the required readings in Chapters 21 and 19.

Please consult the readings in chapter 21, “Drugs”, for the pro and con perspectives. Then, choose the article with which you agree most and lead your paper with arguments from that article. Next, counter that article with the views of an opponent. You will do so by critiquing the first article you discussed with arguments from the other article. In addition, supplement one of these articles with one of the readings assigned from chapter 19 on terrorism and one reading from another chapter Finally, conclude the essay by responding to the opponent’s arguments with views of your own.

I attached the whole chapters this time. You get to pick an article from the readings in chapter 21, “Drugs”, for the pro and con perspectives. Then, choose the article with which you agree most and lead your paper with arguments from that article. ( There are about 3-4 articles in each chapter, again you pick which one will connect most with other chapters). Next, counter that article with the views of an opponent. You will do so by critiquing the first article you discussed with arguments from the other article. In addition, supplement one of these articles with one of the readings assigned from chapter 19 on terrorism and one reading from the third file I am attaching which is about morality (Moral reasoning) Finally, conclude the essay by responding to the opponent’s arguments with views of your own.

Please note,

-As usual try to include examples about the terrorism in Libya.

-Do not forget to cite at least 7 references from the articles I am attaching.

-Also good to note that all of the writing are from the articles I am providing. NO outside resources except if you’re including something about Libya or you want add something about Morality.

-The structure of this paper is a common one for philosophers. Begin with an argument with which you agree, counter it with views of a reasonable opponent. Then, respond with counterarguments to the latter’s arguments. You can develop your own ideas in this final counterargument. You may integrate the third article in whichever way you see fit.

1: “A &P”: How would you describe Sammy’s attitude (use some examples from the story to support your response), and does he really have a sense of how hard the world is going to be to him? You cannot just say yes or no when deciding if his perception is a valid one or not. Does his perception remind you of a typical nineteen-year-old male? Do you see this attitude in people you interact with? Do you see this in nineteenyear-old women?

2: “The Chrysanthemums” How does the physical environment of the story relate to Elisa’s perspective? Elisa does not have children. Comment on this in terms of Social Class, Race and Ethnicity, Gender Roles, Religion, Political Affiliation, Crisis Impaired, and Socio Economic or another aspect you have identified and describe how that contributes to her perspective on life.
