The discussion assignment for this week includes a review of the final project outline completed by one of your classmates, as well as a substantial response to at least 2 other students.

Primary Task Response

Your first task is to post an outline of your final project to the discussion area so that other students are able to review your plan. Attach your document to the main discussion post, and include detailed notes that you feel are appropriate. The purpose of this assignment is to help improve the quality of the final project that you will complete next week.

You work for a popular consumer electronics company that sells products such as cell phones, tablets, and personal computers. The vice president of operations has talked to you about setting up a warehousing and distribution process that can support business expansions globally. He has asked you to develop a recommendation that will help build a business plan. You need to focus on the areas of transportation regulations and policies, transportation methodologies, warehousing, distribution, and inventory management.

The company is looking to start its global expansion in the European Union and China. You will focus your analysis and recommendations for this report on importing goods into those areas from the United States and fulfilling customer orders from in-region warehousing or distribution centers. Your outline should include the following:

Respond to Another Student: Review at least two other students about their final project outline and provide meaningful feedback. Refrain from general feedback, such as simply stating “good job.” Your feedback to other students is most helpful if you not only point out weak areas but also offer suggestions for improvement. The best feedback takes a three-stage approach to identify what was done well, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.

A key aspect to a successful interview experience is preparation. While everyone will have a slightly different strategy and approach to preparing for an interview, the information and suggestions provided within this module should act as a guide.

Create a discussion post to share with your classmates a few tips or tricks that help you prepare for an interview. If you have experienced an interview, a brief story about your experience as an admin assist can be a great way to share your tips and tricks and why they were effective for you.

In your post, be sure to include:

Creating Your Annotated Bibliography

Attached are my two prior assignments so you can do this. Including my list of research links you have to narrow down. 🙂

In this lesson, you have explored the purpose of annotated bibliographies and how to construct them. For this assignment, you will gather your ideas in the Annotated Bibliography Notes, and from these notes, you will create an annotated bibliography for submission. All sources in your annotated bibliography will relate to the amendment or personal freedom you chose from the Bill of Rights.

Previously, you created a list of 12 sources to use in your research. Now, you will narrow that list to eight sourcesin your annotated bibliography. Your annotated bibliography will include:

• two sources related to the landmark court case you selected to relate to your topic
• two sources related to an advocate’s statements related to your topic
• two sources related to contemporary court cases related to your topic
• one multi-media source related to your topic (video, slideshow, infographic, or other multi-media source)
• the citation for the amendment from the Bill of Rights you selected as your topic

For each source, you will include:

• the MLA citation
• two sentences explaining what the source is and what it contains
• one sentence explaining what use the source might be when writing your paper

Follow these steps to create your own annotated bibliography.

Step 1—Take Notes

Use the Annotated Bibliography Notes to gather the information you need to formulate a final bibliography.

To write correctly formatted citations in this assignment, use the MLA Formatting Guide for reference as you work. You may also use online resources to help create citations, such as EasyBib or Son of Citation Machine. Simply submit the information from your sources, such as the title, author, URL, and date of publication, and the MLA citation will be created automatically on these websites. Check that it is correctly formatted before you submit your work.

Step 2—Create a final annotated bibliography

Using the notes you completed in Step 1, create your final annotated bibliography and include the eight required sources. You will submit this final copy.

Movie Analysis Criteria

Please find below the format you should follow for the movie reports. Your movie report should be a minimum of 500 words.

Part I: Movie Summary – 20%

Your first paragraph should be a brief summary of the plot. You should state the movie’s title and director, and then you should describe the setting, main characters, and basic action of the movie.

Part II: Analysis – 40%

Your next one to three paragraphs should be an analysis of the movie. Consider answering some of these questions:

• What is the best or worst part of the movie? Why?
• What did you learn from the movie? (new words, facts, ideas, etc.)
• What is the director trying to teach? How did he/she teach this?
• Which character do you like the best or the least? Why?

5.How does this movie compare to other movies about the same subject or by the same director?

Remember, each paragraph should focus on only one idea.

Part III: You and the Movie – 40%

Your next paragraph(s) should describe how the movie relates to your life/culture/country. Discuss how the movie speaks to your culture today from your personal experience or from watching/understanding other people’s perspectives.

This quiz is based on readings and materials assigned for this Module. Please make sure you closely review your readings before you begin this quiz. Some questions require that you submit text, so when responding to the quiz questions provide written responses that are as comprehensive as possible (e.g., responses should be at least three sentences in length, if not longer). Reference your sources by using MLA-style citations.

Please note that some questions may be weighed differently than others and will have more points attributed to them.

• What are the differences between instruction writing compared to other forms of technical writing that we have covered in this course so far? What are the similarities? When approaching instructions writing, what are three things that are most important to keep in mind as a writer? Why?
• Why is testing for usability so important to technical writing? Make sure you include sources and examples to help explain your answer. If needed, use in-text citation to help support your claims.
• Synthesize the assigned materials for this Module and provide your imagined team of colleagues a clear set of instructions for how to start testing a website for usability. This should be no longer than one paragraph and will need to demonstrate clear, succinct language, similar to the materials provided for this Module.
• Provide a clear explanation of the CRAP principles by defining each letter of the acronym and how these principles can apply to better usability (or readability) of a document, such an online instruction manual or a recipe. You can use a website for an example. Include the link as needed.
