Hi everyone, I am Robyn Gilcrist the new CEO of Yellowtail Marine. First, I’d like to offer my deepest condolences to all that had the opportunity of working and knowing Mr. Olaf Gunnerson. As of today, I will be inheriting his position and look forward to working with you all. I know there may be some challenges, but if we work together as one team, I know we can make this company greater. I also come from the water sports industry, previously working at Sportscraft for several years. During my time there, I successfully increased sales by 70% within two years. I am confident that I can bring positive changes to this company as well. Below are some of my short and long term goals:

Short-term goals:

• On April 12, we will have OSHA inspectors visiting our location to ensure that our work environment meets safety regulations. It is imperative to take extra caution to be careful and safe while working. Please keep your safety equipment on at all times and protect yourselves from any hazards that may cause harm.
• The current problem with both foam injection units needs to be resolved before the OSHA visit. Please make any necessary arrangements to have this fixed as soon as possible to resume production.

After reading the first four acts of Shakespeare’s The Tempest, choose a character shipwrecked on the island and write a message in a bottle from that character’s perspective. Include the name of the character in the subject line of your post.

Ferdinand – Son and heir of Alonso

Alonso – King of Naples and father of Ferdinand

Antonio – Prospero’s brother who unseated him as Duke of Milan

Sebastian – Alonso’s brother who plots with Antonio to assassinate Alonso on the island

Gonzalo – Gonzalo helped Prospero and Miranda escape from Milan

Trinculo – A jester and a comic figure

Stephano – A drunken butler and a comic figure

When writing your message in a bottle, you should cover the following

How you ended up on this island and what the island looks like

The other people with you on the island (only include those individuals you have interacted with)

A conflict that you have had with another character on the island or yourself

Any strange or unusual things that you have seen, heard, or otherwise experienced on the island

When writing your letter, please keep in mind the character’s background. A higher born character will write differently than a less educated character. This is particularly important given the emphasis that The Tempest places on the seemingly unsuccessful process of educating Caliban. Your purpose is to describe the island and your own unique situation while pleading for rescue.

Deciding to place a loved one into a long-term care facility can be extremely difficult. Even more difficult is the thought of your loved one’s rights being violated while in long-term care. Patient healthcare rights are not as clearly defined as one would expect, and there are long-term care and other healthcare facilities that create their own sets of patient rights. However, there are also certain indisputable rights afforded to patients across the board.

Read the case study titled “A Legal and Ethical Dilemma”, located on pages 463-465 of your text. Next, use the Internet or Strayer Library to research information on a patient’s right to die.

Write a four to six (4-6) page paper in which you:

1. Describe the legal and ethical dilemma discussed in the case study. Analyze the key ways in which a patient’s right to die relates to this specific case.
2. From your research, specify the potential repercussions for failure to comply with the wishes of a patient who has requested to withhold a life-sustaining procedure. Next, take a position on whether the patient’s right to die or the patient’s right to be protected from harm should take precedence in this case. Provide a rationale for your position.
3. Imagine that you are a part of the ethics committee investigating this case. Determine the main facts pertaining to the issue that the committee should consider. Suggest one (1) step that the facility should take next in order to resolve the dilemma. Provide a rationale for your response.
4. Use at least three (3) quality academic resources. Note:Wikipedia and other similar websites do not qualify as academic resources.

Letters of Introduction

Last week, you chose a mock business or organization to focus your work on throughout the course. You also created a Reader Analysis Chart which helped you to identify the needs, values, and attitudes of potential stakeholders in your project.

Every business or organization offers a product or service. This week, you are tasked with introducing your business or organization and the product(s) or service(s) it offers.

To do this, you will need to craft two separate Letters of Introduction, one to a reader who will be in direct contact with your business or organization (primary readers), and another to the members of a local community organization (secondary readers).

In each letter, include a brief technical description of the product or service your business or organization provides, define the targeted users of this product or service, and demonstrate how this product or service might benefit the reader (letter one) and the community (letter two).

For the sake of this assignment, you should use the Letter Format in our textbook. Additionally, each of your two Letters of Introduction should be 250-500 words in length (total 500-1000 words), and should directly target the group for which it is intended based on the details from your Reader Analysis Report from week one.

Purpose of Assignment

Understanding the various phases of a product or service lifecycle is critical when addressing a market. If your product is in decline and the competitor’s product is in growth, your strategy for the product or service will be different. This exercise will enable students to demonstrate an understanding of both their product/service life cycle stage and a competitor’s product.
