I need a 4-5 essay

I hope that someone can fix this or just redo it all over. I have attached the template that needs to be used for this assignment.

Assignment 1: Interview a Purchasing and Supply Management Professional (170 points)

Interview a Purchasing and Supply Management Professional Interview a purchasing and supply management professional in a private or public organization (for example a purchasing and supply associate, a Chief Purchasing Officer, or a business manager in a K-12 school system).

Write a 4-5-page paper that describes:

  1. The line of business, mission, and goals of the organization he/she works for. Describe these briefly.
  2. The description of his/her job functions and job responsibilities, educational background, professional experiences, personal challenges, job achievement, and fulfillment.
  3. The operational and strategic objectives of the supply and purchasing department.
  4. How the above supply objectives align with the organizational mission and goals.

The format of the report is to be as follows:

  • Typed, double spaced, Times New Roman font (size 12), one-inch margins on all sides.
  • Use headers for each of the subjects being covered, followed by your response.
  • In addition to the four to five (4-5) pages required, a title page is to be included. The title page is to contain the title of the assignment, your name, the instructor’s name, the course title, and the date.
  • Use of APA guidelines strongly recommended, but not required.

Note: You will be graded on the quality of your answers, the logic/organization of the report, your language skills, and your writing skills. Click here to view the grading rubric

Class,

SafeAssign is a new plagiarism detection tool used by Strayer University faculty to check submitted assignments for plagiarism. When students upload an assignment to the Blackboard course shell the assignments submitted will automatically be submitted to SafeAssign to check for plagiarism. Once submitted, you will be given a percentage of the paper (in a Safe Assign Originality Report) that matches other sources. That percentage must be 25% or below to have an acceptable submission. (That would mean that 25% or less of the paper was copied/pasted from another site.) Any parts of your paper that have been directly quoted (part of that 25%) must be properly cited and referenced in APA format.

You may want to contact your Learning Resource team or refer to the Virtual Writing Center for information and tips to enhance your writing skills, learn about APA formatting, and participate in live sessions.

The New Way to Influence Your Clients

Module 2: The New Way to Influence Your Clients – PSL460 – CT2

Emotional Intelligence Results (70 Points)

This assignment, adapted from Robichaux (n.d.), has three parts.

  • Part 1: Answer 12 questions below
  • Part 2: Add up your points from the 12 questions to get an Emotional Intelligence score.
  • Part 3: Answer three questions that will help you write a 2-3 page analysis of your findings from the first two parts of this assignment.

Part 1: For the first step in this CT assignment, please go through and answer each of the following questions with “yes” or “no.”

In his writings, Goleman (1998) offered twelve questions to ask yourself to see if you work with emotional intelligence.

  1. Do you understand both your strengths and weaknesses?
  2. Can you be depended on to take care of every detail? Do you hate to let things slide?
  3. Are you comfortable with change and open to novel ideas?
  4. Are you motivated by the satisfaction of meeting your own standards of excellence?
  5. Can you stay optimistic when things go wrong?
  6. Do you see things from another person’s point of view and sense what matters most to that person?
  7. Do you let customers’ needs determine how you serve them?
  8. Do you enjoy helping co-workers develop their skills?
  9. Can you read office politics accurately?
  10. Are you able to find “win-win” solutions in negotiations and conflicts?
  11. Are you the kind of person other people want on a team? Do you enjoy collaborating with others?
  12. Are you usually persuasive?

Part 2: For the second part of this CT assignment, please add up the number of questions to which you could answer “yes.” How many “yes” answers did you have? If you were able to answer “yes” to six or more of the items, this indicates that you are working well with EI and also work with maturity in the workplace.

Part 3: For the final part of this CT assignment, please prepare a 2-3 page paper answering the following questions.

  1. What was your score on the EI survey? Do you agree with the results? Why or why not?
  2. How does your high maturity level or low maturity level at work impact your day-to-day interactions with your employees and customers?
  3. Brainstorm at least five suggestions for increasing your EI score. You can use your textbook (specifically Chapters 1 and 2) and the module lecture to assist you with portions of this assignment.
  • Your submission should be at least 2 to 3 pages in length and include all three parts of this assignment.
  • You must cite at least one other credible source besides the textbook.
  • Please format your paper according to CSU Global APA guidelines.
  • Include a cover page as well as a reference list AND MUST BE IN PROPER APA FORMAT

Discussion: Funder Search

This Discussion will be available from Day 1 through Day 7 of this week. You are required to submit your initial post by Day 3. You are encouraged to post early. Once you have submitted your initial post, start responding to your colleagues. You must begin responding to your colleagues by no later than Day 5 and should continue to interact frequently with your colleagues through Day 7. Part of what makes a discussion a discussion and not a lecture is the back-and-forth, in-depth, animated interaction of at least two people. If you start a topic and none of your peers are responding to your post, consider what you can do to get the conversation going. Include something that would elicit further thoughts and different opinions from peers. Validate your opinions with references and links to the sources you used so that your peers can read them for themselves. See your Discussion Rubric in the Course Information Tab for specific grading requirements.

You have determined a project idea and are ready to begin the research to find the RFP that is the best match your project.

There are many viable approaches to searching for and locating project funding, but the most effective are those that utilize appropriate technologies. With the specifics of your project in mind, look for RFPs using the state, federal, and foundation grants databases/search engines listed in this week’s Learning Resources. This is an important step, so take your time in identifying grant providers that issue grant awards that align to your organization’s specific cause or need. Bookmark these websites to your own computer and keep notes in the Process Development Template. Each website offers a wealth of varied information for grant seekers that can greatly enhance your developing understanding of grantsmanship.

When reviewing RFPs, look specifically for the following information:

  • Who is eligible to apply?
  • How many awards/grants are being given?
  • Dollar amount of the grant/award
  • Collaboration/partnership requirements
  • Length of the grant period
  • For private funders, who is on their board and does the applicant have any existing relationships with anyone?

Keep in mind:

  • RFPs that refer to online applications may tend to be less complicated.
  • RFPs for multi-year projects will be more complicated than those for a one-year time period.

Note: For purposes of this course, please adhere to the following parameters:

  • Do not use RFPs for a research project.
  • Do not worry about submission dates that appear on the RFP.

As you examine various sites, document where you searched and the keywords you used. Keep in mind that if you do not find an appropriate and applicable RFP (there isn’t always a funder for every project), you may need to adjust your project or your project plan. Assess your project honestly to determine whether or not you need to explore another course of action.

For this Discussion, analyze your search results for state, federal, and foundation grants, and select the RFPs that best match your project.

By Day 3

Post a link (URL) for each of the three RFPs that best align to your project. Include a brief summary that provides a rationale for each of your choices. The rationale should address the alignment of the RFP to your project idea as well as alignment of the funder itself. Why is this a good match?

Trends in HRM

Introduction and Alignment

A strategic approach to human resource management seeks to proactively provide a competitive advantage through the company’s most important asset: its human resources. While human resources are the most important asset, they are also usually the single largest controllable cost within the firm’s business model. The HRM function needs to be integrally involved in the formulation of strategy to identify the people-related business issues the company faces. Once the strategy has been determined, HRM has a profound impact on the implementation of the plan by developing and aligning HRM practices that ensure that the company has motivated employees with the necessary skills. (Noe et al., 2019, p. 100)

The textbook reading for this Workshop One assignment is Chapter 2—“Strategic Human Resource Management.” The learning concepts in the reading include:

  • The differences between strategy formulation and strategy implementation
  • Components of the strategic management process
  • The role of the HRM function in strategy formulation
  • Linkages between HRM and strategy formulation
  • The more popular typologies of generic strategies and the various HRM practices associated with each
  • Different HRM issues and practices associated with various directional strategies (Noe et al., 2019 p. 72)

Upon completion of this assignment, you should be able to:

  • Evaluate trends in human resource management and their implications for the HR professional.

Resources

Background Information

HR programs and the HR function are under pressure to relate to the business strategy and show a return on investment. Customer focus needs to be included in all HRM practices. New technology means that administrative and transactional HR activities will be delivered via technology, creating less need for HR professionals to provide these activities. The aging workforce combined with reduced immigration because of security concerns may lead employers to focus more on retraining or encouraging older, skilled workers to delay retirement or to work part-time. (Noe et al., 2019, pp. 19-20)

For this assignment you will select a company you have worked for, are familiar with, or would like to work for, and evaluate that company in terms of the trends discussed in your textbook reading. In addition, you will make thoughtful suggestions for how the company might deal with the challenges posed by these trends.

Instructions

  1. Read Chapter 2, “Strategic Human Resource Management,” in the Human Resource Management textbook.
  2. View the media “Overview of Human Resource Management–Presentation B.”
  3. Reflect on a company you have worked for or find an annual report for a company you would like to work for. Many companies post their annual reports on their websites.
  4. Navigate to the discussion topic and, in your initial discussion post, respond to the following discussion prompts:
    1. Trends. Describe how the company you selected has been affected by the trends discussed in Chapter 2 and/or as identified by Jerath (2018) in the Society for Human Resource Management article “Look Ahead at Trends for 2018.”
    2. HR Practices. Does the company utilize the strategic HR practices recommended in Chapter 2? Give an example or suggest a strategic HR practice that, in your opinion, might benefit the company and explain why.
    3. Suggestions. Suggest how the company might deal with the challenges posed by the trends discussed in Chapter 2 and/or as identified in the SHRM article written by Jerath (2018; refer to the link in Step 4a).
  5. Provide a detailed post that demonstrates clear, insightful critical thinking. Your initial posting should be 200–300 words in length.
  6. Organize your initial post by using a heading for each response to match those shown in bold in Step 4.
  7. Your initial posting is to include, at a minimum, three sources properly cited and referenced: (a) the Human Resource Management textbook, and (b) two academic journal articles obtained through OCLS that are at least three pages in length and published within the last five years.
    1. For an explanation of what constitutes an academic source, review “What Is a Scholarly Article?
  8. Post your initial discussion by the end of the fourth day of the workshop.
  9. Also conduct a critical analysis of postings by two of your classmates by the end of the workshop.
  10. Each discussion response to a classmate should facilitate engaging dialogue and evidence critical thinking when addressing your classmate’s posting. Utilize the following ways to engage in scholarly dialogue and expand learning around the topics in this workshop:
    1. Extension: Expand the discussion.
    2. Relevancy: Relate the topic to a current event.
    3. Exploratory: Probe facts and basic knowledge.
    4. Challenge: Interrogate assumptions, conclusions, or interpretations.
    5. Relational: Make comparisons or contrasts of themes, ideas, or issues.
    6. Diagnostic: Probe motives or causes.
    7. Action: Identify an application or an action in personal or work life.
    8. Cause and Effect: Cite causal relationships between ideas, actions, or events.
    9. Hypothetical: Pose a change in the facts or issues.
    10. Priority: Seek to identify the most important issues.
    11. Summary: Elicit synthesis. (Teacher Stream, 2009, p. 5)
  11. Each response should be 200 to 300 words in length and include, at a minimum, three sources properly cited and referenced: (a) the Human Resource Management textbook and (b) two academic journal articles that are at least three pages in length and published within the last five years.
    1. At least one academic source is to be different from the two academic sources provided by your classmate.
    2. For explanation of what constitutes an academic source, review “What Is a Scholarly Article?
    3. Trends. Describe how the company you selected has been affected by the trends discussed in Chapter 2 and/or as identified by Jerath (2018) in the Society for Human Resource Management article “Look Ahead at Trends for 2018.”
    4. HR Practices. Does the company utilize the strategic HR practices recommended in Chapter 2? Give an example or suggest a strategic HR practice, that in your opinion, might benefit the company and explain why.
    5. Suggestions. Suggest how the company might deal with the challenges posed by the trends discussed in Chapter 2 and/or as identified in the SHRM article written by Jerath (2018; refer to the link in Step 1).

Persuasive Speech Outline 750 words, Cite Resources

Stay away from topics that deal with death or disease. These depress the audience. Try to find something that is upbeat and interesting. Your topic should be controversial and have at least two different viewpoints, but you should steer clear of topics that will upset the audience, such as abortion, religious topics or political topics that bash a particular candidate or official.

Requirements:

A strong attention getter is also imperative when giving any type of presentation. If the audience isn’t dragged into your speech right off the bat, they will not listen to what you have to say. Simply stating what you are going to talk about is NOT an attention getter.

Citing sources orally is also a great way to increase credibility. It shows that you’ve thoroughly researched your topic. When you state a fact, statistic or claim, it’s imperative to tell the audience where the information came from. You can’t just say, “Studies show….” we need to know WHAT the study was and who did it. We’re bombarded with facts every day and, as you well know, we want to know the validity of information before we accept it. Make sure you orally cite your 3 REQUIRED sources.
